Event Information

Title: 3D Printing for Veterinary Medicine

Description:

Advanced diagnostic imaging is an essential part of preoperative planning in veterinary patients. 3D printed models from diagnostic imaging further enhance the understanding of the spatial relationships of complex and variable anatomy between breeds of animals. Patient-specific 3D printed models allow surgeons and trainees to develop a better understanding of anatomical features through tactile and visual spatial feedback resulting in improved preoperative planning and superior resident and student training. This presentation will demonstrate how 3D printed anatomical models and surgical guides are fabricated for preoperative planning for veterinary applications.
